So, I’m a college senior interested primarily in medieval art but considering a secondary field in 19th century British art.
I’d been planning on applying to graduate school for art history this year but it seems like several programs are choosing not to take new applicants.
So, if you are currently a PhD student or connected to that world, do you think it is still worth applying this year or would you recommended waiting until the next application cycle?
Also, I would appreciate any insight into how graduate schools are dealing with students losing opportunities due to the pandemic. There were multiple things I was meant to do, basically resume padding, that the virus blocked me from doing. Should I mention that in my application?
At any rate, thanks for your time and help!
