Hello r/ArtHistory!

Forms of Reparations: The Museum and Restorative Justice is an upcoming virtual (and free!) symposium series dedicated to the critical discussion of activism, colonization, and exploitation within cultural institutions.

The symposium will take place over the next three weeks in 7 parts, featuring a guest speaker lineup of contemporary artists and curators such as Chaédria LaBouvier, Alma Ruiz, Helen Molesworth, lauren woods, Decolonize This Place, and more.

This program is organized by the Museum & Curatorial Studies graduate program at California State University Long Beach. All presentations, talks, and audience Q&As will be held virtually via Zoom and available to stream live via Youtube. If you're unable to attend, each session will be posted online shortly afterward.
